With the high price, gold jewellery business is of course slower. Sometimes, for liquidity, gold coins and many other masterpieces are thrown into the fire for cash! What a pity?! |

I guess that is what happens. Jewellery from the past generations are now valued and priced as antiques today. If we carry on melting the gold we'd have lost our heritage! Of course, for a while these jewellery will look like they are really old fashioned looking - until they are a good 50 years old and better! |

In Indonesia, the gold price is affected by two factors: the International Market Price and the Rupiah's Exchange Rate. With present unstable market price and volatility of the Rupiah who would not be lured to earn "instant" money when the price skyrocketted. Choosing Social values or Economic values sometimes can be a dilemma for a business person. The best excuse for them is REGENERATION: If the old ones never go, how would the new ones appear. Is the recycling any good? I guess that's why we value ANTIQUES - Articles that survived these "sacrificing" periods. Edited by agianto on 24-08-2009 19:44 |
